The AED 1 billion project is the second phase of the Mall of the Emirates expansion, dubbed "Development 2015" and is due to be completed in 2015.

The expansion will include the creation of a new cinema, retail outlets, fashion shops, a restaurant lobby and parking for 1,300 new cars and chapels.
